Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Roberts is part of the Robertses' fourth generation that live in the Atlanta area, starting with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Early on, her father began to take an interest in theater. When he was a student at Emory University in 1952 he performed in shows on campus and in Atlanta. While stationed at Biloxi, Mississippi, he was commissioned into the air force in the year 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was also in the production. They got married in the year 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter was enrolled in Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In the year 1957, they were discharged from the air force and Walter started his education at Tulane University. Walter started working at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of a Sunday morning show for children, Bum Bum and His Buddies. They also established a six-year Actors and Writers Workshop later the same year. They welcomed in 1965 two children to the family: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
